4. Do you know how to Roleplay? Above, the dawn light flickered slightly, filtering though the greenery hanging above, dappling the forest floor's leaf carpet. Everything was still and quiet, other than the occasional fierce rush of wind, which would sweep though the sky, shaking the wood to it's roots. A well trodden pathway lined with small shrubs lay ahead; along it, followed a great canopy of thistles marking the opening to a deep gorge, where a light yet tormented howl whisked around the empty hollow.
Jackdaw stood over the gorge for a moment, just looking out into the distance, breathing in the complex woodland scents. He was perfectly at home here, his brown and black finely layered pelt easily blending into the array of forest colours.
But Jackdaw wasn't someone to stick around, he was a traveler, a rogue, and he knew he would need to get going again soon, however much he liked it here.
With a hefty sigh, he lifted his large, athletic frame, twisted around and with his green orbs, scanned the horizon. A group of grazing dear could just be made out in the far field though the gaps in the leaves. With the cold winds of autumn fast approaching, it would be a good idea to eat at every opportunity while prey was still plentiful One last hunt He thought. And then I'll go.
With a powerful launch of his hind legs, he launched into a sprint. Anyone watching would be surprised by how delicate and swiftly this large brute seemed to slice though the air, not clumsily at all. Landing so elegantly each time his paws touched the ground, rather than the large thud you might expect from such a large and ferocious looking wolf.
Finally reaching a good vantage point, he gazed out over the herd. With his quiet and delicate way of moving, and his subtle coloring blending into the ground, he would have no trouble sneaking up on an animal. The trouble came when picking out a specimen. Hunting alone was not normally an easy thing to do when it came to large prey like this; but Jackdaw had much experience on his back; he had learnt most of the tricks from his own mistakes.
The brute instinctively lowered his haunches as he spotted a weaker doe limping at the rear of the herd. Perfect! All he needed to do now was creep around the edge, startle the herd and single this one out. Carefully and steadily, he began to make his way around the field. There wasn't a lot of undergrowth to hide behind here- he had to be careful.
He opened his jaw just slightly, breathing in the mouthwatering scent of the deer in front of him. But there was something else, amidst the scent of deer. It was too weak to make out with the overpowering stench of prey, but it was there. He hadn't noticed it before, which meant whatever it was, might be right on the edge of the field. Watching him.
Jackdaw wasn't scared of much. It would normally take a couple of wolves, or a very strong male to take him down. And his only other opposition was humans, and bear.
Convincing himself it was just an old, lingering scent, he pressed on with the hunt. He was too involved with what he was doing right now to start worrying about what was in all likelihood, old scents of long-gone passers by.
A few steps more, before the male launched himself into a chase. The remaining deer fled, spreading out over the field. Homing in on the injured deer, he got close enough at last to make the final attack. Claws out stretched, jaws ready to clamp shut around the doe's neck, he leaped into position, wrapping his forearms around the doe's shoulders and piercing his teeth though her neck. It was dead within a few seconds. The dead carcass flopped to the floor, Jackdaw with it. Panting, he heaved himself up from the ground.
About to dig in to the kill, something else caught the brutes attention; apparently frozen to the spot, he just stared ahead over the body. For standing there, across the field, staring right back at him was what looked like another wolf..
5. Your Personality and Character Personality
Me: I'm usually very friendly and optimistic, and I am very laid-back and don't get angry easily. I am mature and helpful to others, I can also be sometimes random :p
Jackdaw: Jackdaw is a very quiet and calm male that is extremely patient, and is often seen emotionless or with a blank or serious face. He can look intimidating at times though he is actually quite caring and polite. Very loyal to friends and his pack, and does not like to rush things and would rather think things out. He is also fair and does not judge others, unless they have done something really terrible.
6. Character reference
(Hes a Tundra Wolf cross Spotted Hyena)
